Destroying Our Oceans

Confession: Living on an Atlantic beach for decades and seeing it’s gradual decay, I thought I had a pretty good idea of how bad the situation was with our oceans. I was very, very wrong. After perusing the new book “Oceana”, I now realize that it is much worse than the “bright shiny object” smokescreen that the globalist-owned media spinners deceive us with.

One little tidbit out of hundreds that this book reveals: in only the last fifty years, 90% — no typo, NINETY PERCENT, nine out of ten — of the large fish and mammals in the oceans have “disappeared”, due almost entirely to overfishing.

Fleets of huge super-tanker commercial trawlers dragging mammoth wheeled nets — big enough to trap several 747′s — across the bottom of the oceans, squashing reefs and aquatic life of all kinds, in the mindlessly rapacious process of catching what few fish are left in the oceans, have eradicated nine out of ten large fish and mammals that existed just fifty years ago; many of which were “bycatch” — unintended catch — but were killed in the process. And, still are being killed, every minute of every day

Other equally revealing issues are addressed in the book, such as ocean acidification, which is also killing aquatic life, especially the reefs around the world, upon which much aquatic life and the food chain also depends…

This a must-read and a must-inform-everyone topic. Here is a link to info on the book: “Oceana: Our Endangered Oceans”.
